Baylor Graduate Endodontic Educational Fund
The purpose of the Baylor Graduate Endodontic Educational Fund was established by Baylor College of Dentistry department of Endodontics. The fund was established to support educational activities, research endeavors and special equipment, which would not be possible utilizing college funds alone.
Baylor College of Dentistry Pediatric Dentistry Support Fund
The Baylor College of Dentistry Pediatric Dentistry Support Fund was established by the Pediatric Dentistry department. The fund under control of the Pediatric Dentistry Department was established to support student travel and other related department activities.
The Baylor Periodontics Alumni fund was established by the Baylor Periodontics Department. The fund under control of the Periodonticsdepartment, was established as a repository to support alumni relations, departmental designations and residency in periodontics at the discretion of the alumni.
Baylor College of Dentistry Graduate Prosthodontics
The Baylor College of Dentistry Graduate Prosthodontics fund is under control of the Restorative Sciences/Graduate Prosthodontics department. The fund was established to provide funding for various activities of the Graduate Prosthodontics Program including equipment, construction, travel, membership dues, receptions and other associated activities to enhance the program.
The Jesse T. Bullard Lectureship was established by the Baylor College of Dentistry Restorative Sciences Department. The fund under the control of the Restorative Sciences Department was established to provide funding for an annual lectureship which includes travel and lodging for the speaker(s), honorariums, and expenses for lecture hall, audio-visual requirements, receptions, costs associated with the program and miscellaneous expenses associated with the lectureship.
Arthur H. Merritt Lecture
The Arthur H. Merritt Lecture was established in memory of Dr. Merritt by his family in 1971. Dr. Merritt was one of the founders of the Academy of Periodontology. The annual lecture features an internationally known speaker in the field of periodontics and is put on at no cost to the invitees -- graduate studens, BCD alumni, practicing periodontists, and neighboring universities.
Herman Pinckney Orts and Mildred Burton Orts Endowed Scholarship
The Herman Pinckney Orts and Mildred Burton Orts Endowed Scholarship was established in 2008 to establish an endowment which provides funding for scholarships dedicated for South Texas students to attend Texas A&M Health Science Center Baylor College of Dentistry.
Patricia Clendenin Wessendorff Caruth School Fund
The Patricia Clendenin Wessendorff Caruth School Fund was established in 2006 to serve as a funding source for special projects, programs and initiatives benefiting the Caruth School of Hygiene and its faculty and students, as deemed appropriate by the school's director.
Whiteaker-Hurt Endowed Chair in Periodontics
The Whiteaker-Hurt Endowed Chair in Periodontics was established in 2006. The intent of the award is to recognize, encourage and facilitate sustained excellence in the ream of graduate periodontal education, and to provide or facilitate funding for the Graduate Director position of the advanced Education Program in the Department of Periodontics.
Dr. Robert Sl. Staffanou Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship was established to perpetuate the spirit, influence and teachings of Dr. Staffanou to future generations of graduate prosthodontic residents and faculty at the Baylor College of Dentistry. Tn annual award is presented to a third-year Graduate Prosthodontic Resident who has excelled in didactics, clinical and laboratory skills research, and possesses a warm, compassionate demeanor reflective of Dr. Staffanou.
