Board of Directors: The affairs of the Baylor Oral Health Foundation are governed by its board of directors. Our board of directors consists of sixteen individuals including state and city civic leaders, graduates of Baylor College of Dentistry and appointees from The Texas A&M Health Science Center. Each of these individuals brings with them extensive experience in business, civic leadership and, in the case of BCD graduates, experiences in the field of dentistry. These individuals determine administrative and investment policies and approve the annual budget.

External Audits: The foundation is audited annually, currently by the firm of McGladrey and Pullen, LLP. Quarterly financial reports are provided to the directors and the College and complete copies of our annual audit are available upon request.

Gift Administration: The foundation regulates the use of gifts through numerous internal and external controls. The administration of gifts is under the overall authority of the board of directors utilizing a foundation/institution comprehensive operating agreement as required by The Texas A&M Health Science Center.

Partnership with the College: Numerous factors ensure that the foundation focuses upon the College’s mission and priorities. Many of the aspects of the aforementioned foundation/institution comprehensive operating agreement require a joint effort between the College and the foundation. Two members of the board of directors are appointed by The Texas A&M Health Science Center-Baylor College of Dentistry. In addition, the dean of the College sits as an ex-officio member to the board.
